Homo Montanneous - A subspecies of the human genome that is highly adapted to changeable climate and rugged conditions encountered in mountainous areas.   Norwegians say there is no such thing as bad weather.  Just bad clothing.  Use your best expedition behavior.  Grab your gear and someone you hold dear and go like your life depends on who is holding the other side of the rope.  Ski, sail, surf, dive, shred, boulder, climb - in the sun, rain, wind, snow and fog.

Homo Aquarius - A subspecies of the human genome that remains highly adapted to floating upon or diving under the primordial ooze from which it set forth not so long ago in geological time.  A subset of this subspecies - Homo Aquarius Erectus has developed the capability to stand up surf in brine and fresh water environments - so get instruction in standup (SUP) paddleboard surfing and ecotour the local beaches, lakes (and streams when you get good). Check out the SUP scene at http://StandupTv.com.
